The Berea Lions Club is a public service organization, serving the Berea Community since 1953. Through our 501(c)(3) Berea Lions Club Foundation, the men and women of the Berea Lions Club and Foundation work to address community sight conservation issues and support our community youth through our local High School. WE award a scholarship to a qualified student at Berea High School each year and assist students in attending the American Legions Boys and Girls State in Columbia to learn about the American system of government and politics. Our Sight Conservation Committee meets the first Monday of each month, from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon, at the Berea Public Service District Office and Fire Department located at 7401 White Horse Road. Candidates for glasses and eye exams are qualified and furnished glasses and eye exams at no cost to the individual.

We also support other Lions activities on the District, State, National, and International levels.

We finance these activities through various fundraisers such as broom sales, barbecues, pancake breakfasts, the rental of our Community Center, and receiving contributions to our foundation from various sources.
